The East European Council participated as an official partner of the XXXII Eastern European Forum in Karpacz.

As part of the event, our institution organized a discussion panel “Prospects of interaction in the geopolitical triangle Ukraine-Poland-Moldova”.

Representatives of political, business and expert circles took part, including People’s Deputy of Ukraine Oleg Dunda, Deputy of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Stanislav Zmijan, specialist of DTEK company Natalia Slobodian, coordinator of Polish programs of the East European Council Daniel Dragan, expert of analytical institution “AMO” Pavel Havlicek, coordinator programs for the study of the Republic of Moldova of the East European Council Ernest Vardanyan.

The speakers agreed with the key thesis that the security of the state is possible only under the condition of a reliable economy, an energy system protected and independent from Russian energy, as well as the defence capability of the armed forces.

Effective functioning of states requires clear coordination at the level of political and business circles, regional elites, business and the private sector.

The East European Council will continue to work as a platform for effective and direct dialogue between representatives of the parliaments of Ukraine and Poland, and colleagues from Moldova will also join our format in future.
